Angier, the Town of Crepe Myrtles, is one of the fastest growing areas in Harnett County. It is in the northern part of the county, 16 miles south of the state capital of Raleigh, nine miles from the county seat in Lillington, and 10 miles west of Interstate 40 on NC 210.
Angier boasts an excellent balance of industry and agriculture with seven major industries being represented. It is conveniently located near the major industrial areas around Raleigh and world famous Research Triangle Park.
An excellent public school system, consisting of consolidated and elementary schools, serves the Angier community. In addition, technical schools and colleges are only minutes away. More than 20 churches can be found within the Angier city limits, serving many of the Protestant faiths. The town's recreational park includes lighted Tennis courts, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Football fields for year-round use. Angier is served by a full-time rescue and fire service. A medical center, located in town, is served by a physician, optometrist, orthodontist, and dentist.
