This is notice of an online/live/simulcast auction that will include 7 horses. This event will include a 4 yr old imported Warmblood gelding, a 13 yr old chestnut Warmblood gelding, a 7 yr old grey Imported Dutch Warmblood gelding, 5 yr old Bay Thoroughbred gelding, a 16 yr. old Paso Fino gelding, a 15 yr. old Appaloosa trail gelding, and an aged paint mare. All horses have current Coggins and we do have copies of papers and additional information on some.

4 | Dun Appaloosa Grade Gelding with Blanket, “Rip” is Approximately 15 years old as per Current Negative Coggins dated 10/11/2023. 14.1 Approx. hands and appears to be in healthy condition. Stocky built and appears to be sound and moves out nice at the walk, jog, lope. Reported to have been trail mount but not verified. Appears to be easy keeper and gets along well in pasture with others. |
5 | Dark Bay Warmblood Gelding “Paragraaf”. Imported 7/8/2023 from Hungary. Reported as July 20, 2020 model as per information available. Appears to have minor issues in the rear but not professionally verified or evaluated. Gets along well in the pasture with others. |
6 | Chestnut Warmblood Gelding “Conquistador” reported to be 12 years old as per earlier Coggins dated 10/11/2023. 17.1 Approx. hands and appears to be in lean but healthy, overall condition. Reported to have been possibly shown in the past but not verified. Gets along well in the pasture with others and walks, trots and canters nicely and easy to handle. 7 | Grey Zangersheide Warmblood Type Gelding, “Georgetown D & D Z”. Date Of Birth 5/21/2017 as per copy of information available including registration papers. Sire is George Z, Dam is Dana Bella. Imported from the Netherlands 6/23/2023. 18 plus Approx. hands, appears to be lean but otherwise in healthy overall condition. 1- All horses are being sold per the court order shown as Case No. 5:23-CV-0030-FL in the Eastern District of N.C. Western Division and will be transferred via Bill of Sale only. Auction Firm does not guarantee registration papers on any horses sold but will provide copies of all available information including any import documents, etc. where available.
2-All horses will transfer with a current Negative Coggins Report.
3-All horses sell "as is" with all existing conditions and defects at the time of the auction, Tuesday, August 6th, 5:00 pm EST. in Dunn, North Carolina in a LIVE/ONLINE/SIMULCAST auction event.
4-All horse will be available for inspection approximately 2 hours prior to the start of the auction at Shady Brook Stables, 3071 US 301 North, Dunn, NC 28334.
5-Buyers are encouraged to do their own inspections and investigations relating to soundness or merchantability PRIOR to bidding! There are no guarantees either written or implied made by the auction management regarding the animals. Horses are the responsibility of the owners once declared "sold" at the auction.
6- All attendees at the live auction attend at their own risk and hereby relieve the Auction Firm, facility owners, and/or managers of any liability whatsoever while you are on the grounds.
7-Online and Onsite buyers should pay close attention to ALL announcements made on auction day at the time of the sale, as these announcements will take precedence over any previous announcements, posts, etc. The sale management is not responsible for any errors or omissions regarding any animals offered.
8-A 10% onsite buyer's premium and 12% online buyer's premium will apply to all purchases. A 4% fee will be applied to all credit card purchases.
9- All horses must be paid for within 24 hours of the auction and prior to removal. All horses can remain at Shady Brooke Stables through Friday, August 9th at no extra charge. Horses remaining after that time will incur a $30 per day board fee.
